Click 3X’s interactive company, ClickFire Media has developed and implemented an innovation lab, titled “Beyond the Play Button,”

Video is becoming increasingly interactive and users have more immersive ways to engage with it than ever before, so Click 3X’s interactive company, ClickFire Media has developed and implemented an innovation lab, titled “Beyond the Play Button,” for advanced, mobile-first, video technologies to support this demand. The goal is to develop proprietary technologies and methodologies utilizing the company’s strong video and digital execution capabilities and to custom-build technologies for the company’s brand and agency clients.

“Advanced video technologies provide endless marketing opportunities for brands across all industries. With new innovations constantly in development, we’ve recruited several members of the Click team and dedicated our resources to test and experiment with them,” said Peter Corbett, Founder and President of Click 3X. “The possibilities of what these digital technologies can provide are endless, and we’re excited to be playing in this ever-evolving space.”

ClickFire Media is currently working with several technologies, which they are constantly expanding upon. These four are the first iteration:

o    VR 360° video. Combining Click 3X’s current sophisticated toolset with this technology, they’ve been able to incorporate techniques like compositing, green-screen and CGI into the VR 360°-degree experience. Compositing objects in VR 360° through creation of multiple layers not only creates a more compelling and interesting experience for the user, but also opens doors for these objects to be interactive.

o    Shoppable and interactive videos for mobile. ClickFire Media has been working with shoppable videos to redefine the ecommerce landscape through cross-platform, interactive storytelling. One example is CFM’s Kmart Shoppable Experience where predetermined hotspots allow users to interact with individual products for an interactive experience.

o    Customized video. ClickFire Media leverages consumer-specific data to generate highly-customized videos in a matter of seconds, resulting in an extremely personalized videos and much higher response rates.

o    Glifâ„¢ – ClickFire Media partnered with Juniper Jones, the creator of social video service Glifâ„¢, which allows users write a tweet using a specific #hashtag. Glifâ„¢ automatically creates a custom video using the user’s own tweet. The video is sent back to the user through a tweet notification and features audio, motion graphics, and video clips.

Beyond the Play Button has already received significant interest from brands and agencies with 2 projects in production.
